Morocco Visa Application From The Maldives

Applying for visas can be a hassle. Especially from the Maldives where there aren’t a lot of helpful websites or guides on how to apply for visas. You see all these beautiful places that you would like to visit but get discouraged when there isn’t a straightforward guide to obtaining visas. As such, we want to provide as much information on visas as we can. And since several of you asked how to obtain a Morocco visa, here it is!

Applying from the Maldives

Unlike Schengen visa, applications for Morocco visa can be done through the foreign ministry in the Maldives. This means no need to travel to Sri Lanka or India to apply for your visa. Yay!

To apply for the visa here are the documents you need.

Morocco Roadtrip

Duration

For Tourist visas expect a minimum of 7 days for them to issue the visa. Add to this the time it would take for the Maldivian Embassy in India to send to the Foreign Ministry in the Maldives as well. Therefore, we would recommend applying at least 3-4 weeks before your scheduled flight.

Although it does not specifically ask to show a flight reservation, we strongly advise to include it in the application. Moreover, we advise transferring the visa fees via TT and not a cheque to ensure they receive the money promptly.

Attached is the checklist provided by the Foreign Ministry. Please have a look through it and read the Ministry’s recommendations.

Additionally, I have attached the Visa Application Form, Visa Facilitation Form and Account Details of the Maldives Embassy in Delhi for your use. But please make sure you email the Foreign Ministry at visa@foreign.gov.mv as well just to make sure that nothing has changed.
